Psalm 8, verses 3 and 4When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers; The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man that You are mindful of him; And the son of man that You visit him?
|Why?:||I love these words because they reflect very much the way that I felt during my teenage years as I wrestled with eternal issues. I remember being overwhelmed by the immensity of the universe – particularly when I went away on camps and took the chance to star-gaze. I found it hard to imagine how a God who made all of that, and inhabits even all the space between, could be interested in a sinful person like me. And yet, in Jesus Christ, God became flesh and “visited” this world to make a way for me to be saved. I still find that quite astonishing.|
